A video obtained by the ACLU shows a black homeless man being shot to death by eight cops while holding a small folding knife.
Milton Hall, 49, was described as a “mentally ill African-American man” who worked as a “community worker, and he was always there speaking out for those whom he considered the weak, for those who did not have the strength to speak for themselves.”
In July of 2012 in Saginaw, Michigan, Hall was filmed holding a pocket knife after arguing with police about a fight he’d had with a store clerk.
During the video, eight officers approached Hall and demanded that he drop the small knife, but he refused. After a span of about 10 seconds, the officers opened fire on Hall.
