Another woman has come forward claiming she was drugged and raped by comedian Bill Cosby 45 years ago.
Joan Tarshis added her name to a list of accusers who say the 77-year-old funnyman has been a sexual predator for decades.
In an essay published Sunday on the Hollywood Elsewhere website, Tarshis said she was a 19-year-old aspiring actress when Cosby coaxed her into his clutches under the guise that he was mentoring her.
Tarshis claimed Cosby assaulted her in the autumn of 1969 in his bungalow at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, where he was shooting “The Bill Cosby Show.”
She said one day Cosby asked her to stay to work on material with him. She said once in his bungalow, Cosby made her a “redeye,” a Bloody Mary topped with a beer.
“The next thing I remember was coming to on his couch while being undressed,” writes Tarshis, a journalist.
“Through the haze I thought I was being clever when I told him I had an infection and he would catch it and his wife would know he had sex with someone,” she revealed in the Web posting. “But he just found another orifice to use. I was sickened by what was happening to me and shocked that this man I had idolized was now raping me. Of course I told no one.”
Despite the alleged attack, Tarshis accepted an invitation days later to attend a performance Cosby gave at The Westbury Music Theater on Long Island. She said Cosby plied her with more alcohol.
