President Obama can take the Democrats losing the majority in the Senate and his low approval ratings. What he can’t take is Michael Jordan talking about his s—-y golf game.
“Michael wasn’t very well informed about this, I think he might’ve just been trying to give Ahmad (Rashad) an extra ratings boost on his show,” Obama said Monday during a radio interview.
The president was responding to Jordan’s assertion that the Democrat was “a hack” and “a s—-y golfer,” a claim he made during an interview with Rashad for the Back 9 Network that aired last week. Obama said that while he has played with Rashad, he’s never hit the links with His Airness.
“But there is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am,” Obama told Jaimin’ 98.3’s Earl Stokes. “Of course, if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case.
“He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats — or the Hornets.”
The Hornets are off to a disappointing 1-3 start this season. Jordan, who reportedly plays to a single-digit handicap, is part of the team’s ownership group.
“I love the man, though. He brought (the Chicago Bulls) a lot of championships,” Obama said. “He does like talking trash sometimes, even when he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
