The rapper 50 Cent has a lot of money in the bank, but he also loves getting sued. He was recently the target of an $11 million dollar lawsuit from a video model who felt that she’d defamed him. But the suit was dropped from federal court this week. It’s unclear exactly why the suit was dropped, but this is surely a relief to the rapper who wants to protect his money.
Sally Ferreira had originally charged the rapper with making fun of her on Instagram, claiming that she’d leaked pictures that suggested the two of them were dating one another. Her suit claimed that he didn’t investigate the matter at all and falsely accused her of being the source of the leaks.
“Without undertaking any investigation whatsoever, Mr. Jackson falsely accused Ms. Ferreira of being the source,” her suit claimed, referring to the rapper by his given name, Curtis Jackson.
Apparently, the rapper wasn’t happy with the woman’s claim that they were together. He then posted on Instagram, to 1.8 million followers: “WARNING: Do not attempt to work with this thirsty Video b****. She sent photos of the video shoot to Mediatakeout saying I’m in a relationship with her Cananyone say RESHOOT.”
The woman says that the posting on Instagram caused her to be blackballed by the industry, unable to find jobs on anymore video shoots.
